  1. Hi Adam, I love your boat! It sounds as if you have some good supplies on board. Well done! From Nana.

  2. Kia ora Adam,
I really enjoyed reading your list of items and agree that you should take barrels of water and kumara as they last a long time.
I have to ask why are you taking a goat, it was not something I expected to see on the list? Do you have a goat?
Salted meat is also another great idea and can last for a very long time as the salt kills all the bacteria that usually ruin the meat.
When adding content to a blog post from a doc I would recommend selecting all the content in the document - ctrl A and then pasting it into the blog post - ctrl shift V.
Keep up the great Summer Learning Journey,
    Nga mihi,
    Mark

  3. Kia ora Adam, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
Well done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and creating this blog post about 10 food items you would take with you if you were going on a sea voyage with no refrigerator or freezer!
It is awesome to see some fruit and vegetables on you list! You definitely wouldn’t want to get scurvy while you were away at sea, so the vitamins and minerals in the apples, pears and kumara would help!
I see you have fish and chickens and a goat on your list. Would these items just be the meat, or would the animals still be alive?
I couldn’t imagine spending three weeks at sea with a small farm onboard!
Out of all of the different foods on your list, which one is your favourite?
What kind of meals would you make out of these ingredients?
If I were going on this sea voyage, I would pack peanut butter. This is because I eat peanut butter every morning, and don’t think I could go a day without it! Plus, peanut butter is full of good, healthy fats and lasts a while before expiring.
    Keep up the excellent work!
    Nga mihi
